Sustainability

Our ongoing mission is to create undergarments for everyone that are healthy for both our bodies and the planet. We've worked very hard to create undergarments that are as eco-friendly as possible. Below includes certifications that our materials have earned with their corresponding definitions and meanings.

SUSTAINABLE BIODEGRADABLE PRODUCT (SBP®)

All of our undergarments are 96% Sustainable and Biodegradable. ZahZee™ sources Non-GMO Sustainable Industrial Hemp which grows without the need of harmful herbicides and pesticides.

Certified Organic Hemp & Cotton

Both the organic cotton and organic hemp in our ZahZee™ products are GOTS certified. A textile must contain a minimum of 70% certified organic fibers, a product with the label grade 'organic' must contain a minimum of 95% certified organic fibers.

Low Impact Dyes (Fiber Reactive)

ZahZee™ sources hemp textiles that have been colored with low-impact dyes or fiber-reactive dyes. Fiber-reactive shades are classified as low impact as they meet the requirements of the STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX®.

Natural Rubber (STANDARD 100 OEKO-TEX®)

We integrate natural rubber elastic in all ZahZee™ hemp thongs. This natural rubber is certified STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX® . It is manufactured to the highest OEKO TEX standard and ethically made.

Sustainable mud dye

ZahZee™ sources mud dye which is made of natural minerals derived from the soil. Only water is required, toxic chemicals and heat are not involved in the dyeing process.

Natural Dyes

ZahZee™ garments are colored using natural dyes which are often derived from leaves, flowers, roots, bark, wood, lichen, fruits, nuts, seeds, minerals, and insects. Natural dyes utilize the earth's natural resources to provide beautiful and lasting color.

One Tree Planted

wear ZahZee™ is a proud partner of One Tree Planted, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit on a mission to make it simple for anyone to help the environment by planting a tree. For every ZahZee™ purchase, we will plant a tree!

Reforestation helps to rebuild forests after fires and floods, provide jobs for social impact, and restore biodiversity.

This year, we're donating to reforesting projects in more than twenty iconic National Forests. A benefit of reforesting public land is that healthy outdoor recreation spaces will be bolstered, creating new opportunities for communities and visitors to connect with nature. Many of the United States' most iconic wildlife species, like the brown bear, white-tailed deer, and countless songbirds, will have renewed habitat.
